1. Vision

 

The Vision of the Grama Panchayat (Village Council) is the big dream about what the area should become in the future.

Objective: The long-term goal of becoming a model village that has achieved comprehensive and sustainable development, ensuring a better life for all citizens.

Examples:

  • Complete sanitation and a healthy living environment.
  • A nature-friendly village that maintains greenery and water abundance.
  • A society free from poverty, ensuring education, health, and employment for everyone.

 

2. Mission

 

The Mission clarifies what the Panchayat is currently doing or how it operates to achieve the vision.

Objective: Defining the key goals and methods of operation for making the vision a reality.

Examples:

  • Planning with Public Participation: Preparing development schemes by understanding the needs of the people through Ward Sabhas and Grama Sabhas (Ward and Village Assemblies).
  • Efficient Services: Making Panchayat services quickly available to the public through online systems and transparent administration.
  • Infrastructure Development: Improving the quality of roads, drinking water, electricity, public educational institutions, and health centers.
  • Sustainable Livelihoods: Ensuring local economic growth by promoting agriculture and small-scale industries.

In summary, the Vision (Where to reach) provides a destination; the Mission (How to get there) suggests the operational path to reach that goal.
